Liz Cheney

The latest on Liz Cheney. A prominent Republican and the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, Liz Cheney was first elected to represent Wyoming's at-large congressional district in 2017. She quickly rose to leadership positions within the Republican caucus, serving as chair of the House Republican Conference. She was removed from her leadership position after her criticism of former President Donald Trump's incitement of the January 6th Capitol riots and her subsequent impeachment vote against him. She was later appointed to the House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack by Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
